Fun Facts
·
The Tempest had one of the simplest, yet simultaneously,
most beautiful sets in VST history, and is considered by many to be the most
visually striking show ever produced by the organization.
·
Paul Recupero stepped in to fill the role of Sebastian after an
actor quit the show, earning him the nickname “Clutch.”
· The directors reset the time period and location of the show to 18th century Ireland so as to give it a very unique spin, and a very magical feel through the use of Celtic music and imagery.
· This play marked the final onstage appearance of VST Presidents Mike Neff and James Curcione.
· The Tempest was put together in about five weeks, which is hardly enough time to organize a normal show, let alone a Shakespearean one. Still, thanks to the hard work of the directors and the dedication of the cast, the production went off without a hitch.
